Each year, the UL enterprise hosts a major conference for the electrical, fire, and safety councils. For this event, we needed to deliver on a co-branded event within strict parameters.
The UL enterprise includes UL Research Institutes, UL Standards & Engagement, and UL Solutions. Each of these organizations plays a critical role in safety science and has a shared mission; however, they must not appear as the same company. For this event, we hoped to define a clear enterprise-level art direction that would remain relevant for years to come while speaking to the strength of our unity.
I developed work that champions our enterprise while nodding toward progression with an abstracted arrow. I chose to keep the color palette limited and the typography simple and breathable to allow each of the brand colors to command the attention it deserves.
